Watch the video and learn about the choices that matter to her most – and enjoy her infectious enthusiasm.

Here are some other thoughts that Tamara has shared with us:
"As a recent college graduate, I have felt the pressure to enter the corporate world. However, I want to do something that helps me grow as a person in all aspects, and most importantly, to know that I'm making a difference. What is meaningful to me in life is helping people and knowing that what I've gone through serves for a greater purpose. I aspire to break disability stereotypes and stigmas by becoming an advocate for people with disabilities—all types of disabilities, not just those suffering from spinal cord injuries. I aim to empower women through representing my courage, strength and true beauty from within. I feel the greater need to leave my mark in this world by helping people become warriors and survivors, not victims—I believe that I was left in this world for a purpose bigger than me." Tamara Mena |
