After the much anticipated launch of the 2GX and AERO X at Medtrade last month, production of the two chairs is going full swing at TiLite. The innovative folding frames (the 2GX in Titanium and the AERO X in Aluminum) offer the durability and style that TiLite is known for worldwide.
Some of the features include:
- Tru-Fit: the clamp on component system that allows for finite component adjustment and drastically reduces holes in the frame. This makes the chair more durable and great to look at!
- RFM (Rigid Folding Mechanism): this exclusive cross tube design allows TiLite to incorporate one piece side frames and features snap in seat saddles that lock into place. This increases performance by reducing flex in the frame which helps the AERO X and 2GX achieve near rigid chair performance.

October was a busy month for TiLite. With Medtrade in Orlando, Florida and REHA Care in Dusseldorf, Germany and both scheduled for the same week, the TiLite Crew was in overdrive to make sure that new products were ready and the booths were manned! While both exhibitions reported lower than usual attendance, that wasn’t apparent when you visited the TiLite booth!
At Medtrade, the booth traffic was high and visitors were surprised by the artistic flair of Wavedog, who was painting a chair in his signature style, and the over the top enthusiasm of Paralympic Wheelchair Rugby player Mark Zupan. Of course, it was the product that stole the show. The anticipated introduction of the all new Titanium folder, the 2GX and its long awaited counterpart, the aluminum AERO X, brought many customers, old and new, to the booth. Both chairs offer a more stylish option for users who want the convenience of a folding chair but demand the style and durability that TiLite is known for.
At REHA, things got off to a bang! Old friends, new distributors and the TiLite crew helped make REHA a success. While space was tight, the showing of the artistic Wavedog chair and the European introduction of the AERO X enticed many users, therapists and distributors to stop by and take a look. With the TiLite crew stretched between two continents, we were thankful for the assistance of our distributor partners from EmCart in the Netherlands and product support from TAPPE in Austria. Overall both shows were a big success for TiLite!

If you are a Medicare recipient and don’t think you qualify for a TiLite chair, there is a way to get the custom built quality and performance you deserve!
The TiLite AERO Z, TiLite’s first aluminum frame chair, is a custom built chair with all the options of our titanium frames, and priced comparable to chairs in the Ultra-light Weight (K0005) category.
While the AERO Z is listed with Medicare as a K0009 chair, it is possible to submit the AERO Z as a “free upgrade”. When working with the therapist and supplier, determine if you qualify for an ultra-light weight chair (K0005) and ask that they make a notation in Block 19 of the Medicare form stating that they are providing the AERO Z as a free upgrade. It eliminates the need for the Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN), does not increase out of pocket expenses for the user while giving them the opportunity to experience the durability and performance that TiLite is known for.

TiLite was proud to be a sponsor of this year’s Tri-City 5k Turkey Trot held on the Columbia River in Kennewick, Washington benefiting the Red Cross. Team TiLite was 77 strong made up of our friends and family who walked, jogged, ran, and pushed (racers, bikes, and everyday wheelchairs) to support our community, join the TiLite camaraderie and burn some extra calories before enjoying Thanksgiving dinner. A thank you goes out to everyone who braved the chilly morning air (27º) to join TiLite. A special thank you to Theresa Skinner for driving members of team St. Luke’s racers down be a part of this event. Their speed and athleticism is a site to see!

I got my first Tilite chair a few months ago (previously, I had only used Quickie chairs) and I felt like I had upgraded from a milk truck to a Porsche. It took me a while to get used to how light this chair is, and how easy it is to maneuver. I wish I had known about Tilite years ago! This chair is just what I need to stay active and get around with minimum fuss. I recently went to Las Vegas for a week and this chair is perfect for running up and down the Strip! My husband couldn\'t even keep up with me.
